Just because the Holidays are now upon us, there is no reason that we can’t stay just as healthy as we are the rest of the year. Yes, our schedules get busy, and it’s easy to fudge on our physical activity. Speaking of fudge, it’s easy to overindulge in sugar and other less than optimal temptations.
There are things that can be done to keep us on the right track. One is to keep making good food choices. Even if you are in a hurry, try to pack something nutritious to bring with you while you are shopping or traveling to visit family. Another is to remember to drink lots of water. Being dehydrated is a common source of back pain, as well as other ailments. Also, when you are at a holiday gathering, choose more items off the fruit and vegetable platters and leave the sweets behind. A good trick is to eat some raw veggies or nuts prior to leaving the house, especially if you know you will be having some adult beverages.
Be easy on yourself. This is not the time of year to go on a weight loss program, but maintaining your present weight. After the holidays, talk to us about the 21-day purification program. It will do your body a lot of good. Meanwhile, enjoy!
